Sometimes the automatic thumbnail for a video might be unflattering or visually uninteresting, or you might want to set a branded thumbnail. Vito allows you to upload a custom thumbnail for each video in your hub.

Currently, you need to head to your hub’s Backstage area to set a custom thumbnail for your video.

The admin toolbar at the top of the hub with Backstage highlighted

Next, click on the Content menu item and select Videos from the dropdown. You’ll see the media library and be able to select the relevant video.

From there, click on Edit and then click or drag to upload a custom thumbnail. The recommended size for custom video thumbnails is 2560 x 1440 px. Hit save and you’re done.

You can remove or change the custom thumbnail from the same screen.
